Want to play the North West Festival?

Want to see your name on the North West Festival line up?

Having recently announced three stellar additions to the North West Festival, it’s now impossible to deny that this is set to the biggest line up the Pilbara has ever seen. To recap, in just over 4 weeks time, the Port Hedland Turf Club will be a temporary home for Hilltop Hoods, The Living End, The Cat Empire, Regurgitator, Dead Letter Circus and San Cisco.

And to make it even better, the recent addition of these acts did not mean a change in ticket price, just more bang for your buck! General admission tickets, including free camping are still available for $129 + BF. The response to this latest announcement has been very positive, so we encourage you to hop to it so you don’t miss out.

Tickets will also be sold at the festival gates, if not sold out prior, for $150 (cash only). If you want to save yourself some dollars, or add to your beer fund, we suggest purchasing your tickets now.

So that’s six huge acts heading your way on Saturday 18th August, but there’s something missing… And this something could be you!

We are pleased to be reserving the last space on the line up for some supreme local talent via our Best of North West competition. The comp, in partnership with WAM, is open to any solo artists, duos and bands who perform original music and reside in the Pilbara Region. Artists are encouraged to submit their electronic press kit via our Sonicbids competition page (http://bit.ly/Oyh1rH).

From there, a panel of industry judges will listen to all submissions and select four finalists who will battle it out in a live competition at the Matt Dann Cultural Centre on Friday 17th August. The winner will be determined on the night and will open the first ever North West Festival the very next day. Not only that, they’ll be able to perform to new faces, hang out backstage and be financially rewarded for their performance. And the runner-ups wont leave empty handed either – they’ll receive tickets to the festival too.

So, what are you waiting for? Get submitting now. Entries will close at 5PM on Wednesday 8th August and the finalists will be announced on Friday 10th August.
